A Different View of Desert Storm

    The 4-229th AHR was reactivated  March 1,1988. We were so inspired by the achievements of the AVG Flying Tigers that we asked them for affiliation. The AVG came to Ft. Hood, Texas and stayed with us for a few days. I know I speak for most new "Tigers" that it was the most memorable experiences I have ever had.    

    With the Honor came the responsibility to uphold the name, and that we did by maintaining the highest readiness status for all Apache units in the Army.
